Fuxi draws hexagrams: unlocking the key to fate

In ancient China, Fuxi, a great leader revered as the “ancestor of humanity” by later generations, not only tied the knot with N ü wa as siblings and multiplied humanity, but also successfully unified all ethnic groups in China and opened a new chapter in civilization. After completing this series of feats, Fuxi chose to temporarily retire and cultivate his body and mind on a quiet mountain peak, while continuing to explore the mysteries of the universe and nature.

In the embrace of the mountains, Fuxi enjoyed the tranquility of breathing with heaven and earth. During the day, he strolled through the mountains, gazing at the vast fields and contemplating the endless vitality of nature; At night, he sits quietly on the mountaintop, gazing up at the stars in the sky, trying to uncover the endless secrets of the universe. It was in this daily contemplation and observation that sparks of gossip gradually sprouted in his heart.

One day, Fuxi encountered a white turtle carrying a strange pattern by the river, slowly coming ashore. The pattern on the turtle shell seemed to contain the principles of heaven and earth. Fuxi was deeply inspired and immediately picked up a branch, carefully sketching the mysterious pattern on the sandy soil. With the extension and interweaving of lines, a delicate composition composed of yin, yang, black, and white colors suddenly appears in front of me, which is the famous Bagua diagram in later generations. The Bagua diagram is composed of Qian, Kun, Zhen, Xun, Kan, Li, Gen, and Dui Bagua. Each hexagram symbolizes a force and phenomenon in nature, containing profound philosophy.

Fuxi delved into the mysteries of the Eight Trigrams Diagram and discovered that it could not only reveal the patterns of weather changes, but also predict good and bad fortune, guide agricultural operations, and greatly promote the development and progress of society at that time. So, he selflessly imparted this crystallization of wisdom to the people, making the Eight Trigrams a valuable tool that connects humans with nature and guides human life. In commemoration of Fuxi’s great contribution, people named this mountain Guatai Mountain, symbolizing that it is the birthplace of Bagua wisdom. To this day, Guatai Mountain not only carries a profound historical and cultural heritage, but also attracts tourists from all over the world with its unique charm to visit and experience the light of wisdom that spans thousands of years together.
